From the desk of : Jean Blackwell My name is Jean Blackwell and I am 60+. I am a wife, mother of 2 and grandmother to 2 teenage granddaughters. This website has been put together to save you time and frustration. My sister developed psoriasis as a youngster, our son got asthma when he was 2 years old, our daughter became quite ill with graves disease (overactive thyroid) and hyperglycaemia while at university, my sister started getting arthritis (rheumatoid) in her 50’s and I decided to give up smoking (after 30 odd years) in my 50’s. Not long after giving up smoking I was not feeling so well so I went to the Doctor and it was decided that a series of tests would be put in place. I was tested for all sorts of things, celiac disease was ruled out as was lactose intolerance and diabetes. I kept a ‘food diary’ for 3 months and 3 Doctors and a dietician were unable to pick up any obvious pattern to help with an answer to my problems. Eventually it was decided that I needed a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy! These procedures resulted in me being told I had mild diverticulum and irritable bowel syndrome. The gastroscopy revealed that I had heliocobacter pylori. The Doctor told me what was needed to fight this bug and that it needed to be dealt with at once. The package would have 2 different antibiotics and also a pottle of Losec to help support my tummy during all this. I am allergic to penicillin so that was removed from the package and replaced with something else. Five days into this quite involved treatment I became even worse and it was decided to change another of the antibiotics. It was a tough few weeks to get through. I did not bounce back to my usual self and this is when I started looking on the internet for some answers as I was not happy taking prescribed medication all the time. Trying this one and that one to see if something would help. I was finding that sometimes I would be unwell for days at a time. I spent hours sitting at the computer (I was a real greenhorn with computers) looking here there and everywhere for something that might help. Over the next few years I picked up all sorts of info that was of benefit to our children, my sister, numerous friends and off course myself. I have tried to opt for ‘natural’ help whenever possible because I choose to not take long term medication even at this stage of my life. I have just been diagnosed with osteoarthritis so I am going to be trying some ‘natural’ things first. The hours I spent on the internet in the past were horrific and I ended up many times with sore eyes, sore back & legs and swollen feet. This website was born out of the above complaints and frustration because I was all over the place trying to get info to help myself, my family and our friends. I hope this website will save people lots of time. We have covered many medical problems and they are all on one website. So, if you have family members or friends who suffer from different problems to you then you will be able to send them to www.medicalhealthcareproblems.com so that they too can save themselves a lot of time. People lead very busy and full lives these days and many people do not have the available time I had in my 50’s. These days there are still a huge number of 50+ year old women in the work force throughout the world so I hope this website is helpful to one and all. The medical problems covered on this website are ones that all ages, all ethnic groups and both male and female will need help with. I highly recommend that you complete the Opt In form to receive all our updates and newsletters. Click here to go to the Opt In form To your health, wealth and happiness, Jean
